Survey Party Chief

About the role

DBF is a multi‑discipline architecture and engineering firm that relies on skilled surveyors to capture accurate measurements for a variety of projects. As a Survey Party Chief you will lead a field crew, operate modern surveying equipment, and ensure data quality under all weather and terrain conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the field crew to obtain measurements, sketches, and data for boundary, topographic, and construction surveys.
• Communicate progress with project managers and survey supervisors.
• Guide equipment set‑up and operation.
• Layout stakes for map‑making.
• Maintain crew safety and proper use of safety equipment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous surveying experience on boundary, topographic, bathymetric, ALTA surveys and construction stakeouts.
• Detail‑oriented, client‑focused, and strong communicator.
• Ability to solve problems in the field using mathematical and analytical procedures.
