Surgery Scheduler – Digestive Center

About the role

Northwest Specialty Hospital is looking for a compassionate Surgery Scheduler to support the Digestive Center. Reporting to the Practice Manager, you will ensure surgical cases are booked accurately and efficiently while providing high‑level service to patients and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule surgical cases using both manual processes and automated scheduling systems.
• Handle telephone inquiries and messages related to surgery appointments.
• Assist with medical records management to ensure complete and accurate documentation.
• Maintain precise records of scheduling activities and patient documentation.
• Utilize automated systems to streamline scheduling functions.
• Work effectively under pressure, demonstrating patience, tact, stamina, and endurance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong ability to relate and collaborate with colleagues.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Willingness to engage in goal‑setting and ongoing education.
• Familiarity with operating‑room environments and surgical scheduling processes.
• Previous experience in a similar role is highly preferred.
