Supply Chain Officer (Professional) – Washington, USA

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Supply Chain Officer (Professional) to join its Global Office in Washington, D.C. The officer will support the delivery of quality goods and services to beneficiaries, ensuring optimal pricing and timely execution.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee supply chain activities in line with IOM’s SCM objectives.
• Coordinate with the Regional Office in Panama and the Supply Chain Division at Headquarters.
• Manage procurement and logistics operations to meet beneficiary needs.
• Ensure compliance with IOM/UN internal procurement and financial rules.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement or related field with at least five years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with seven years of experience.
• Proven experience managing diverse procurement and logistics operations.
• Experience training and supervising large teams, and managing vendors and suppliers.

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of IOM/UN procurement and financial regulations.
• Strong familiarity with IOM’s procurement and logistics systems.
• Excellent computer literacy; knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle is an advantage.
