Supplier Account Management V – Strategic Supplier Role

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Supplier Account Management V professional to lead strategic supplier relationships and drive cost‑reduction initiatives across its semiconductor and advanced display supply base.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, align, and implement commodity strategies for the supply base.
• Negotiate and manage supplier agreements, ensuring compliance with business objectives.
• Lead new supplier introductions and disengagements, coordinating with internal stakeholders.
• Resolve systemic supply‑chain issues affecting quality, cost, delivery, or lead‑time, including sub‑tier engagements.
• Identify and present high‑level cost‑reduction opportunities and oversee Supplier Performance Improvement Plans.

Required profile

• Recognized technical expert in procurement with deep knowledge of commodity strategies.
• Proven ability to anticipate business and regulatory issues and recommend process improvements.
• Experience leading high‑risk, complex projects and influencing senior leadership.
• Strong problem‑solving skills to address unique, high‑impact supply challenges.
• Excellent communication skills to persuade senior stakeholders and drive change.
