Supervisor, Building Facilities

About the role

The Supervisor, Building Facilities is responsible for planning operational policies, overseeing facility staff and budgeting, and managing supplies and equipment to ensure efficient operation of the university's facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor facility equipment and ensure timely repairs.
• Maintain records such as inventory of supplies.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate security efforts with staff and external entities.
• Develop and maintain an emergency preparedness plan.
• Identify cost‑reduction opportunities while improving efficiency.
• Liaise with external contractors to ensure service compliance.
• Provide guidance, training, and oversight to facility staff.
• Establish and assess internal controls and ensure policy compliance.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant facility management experience.
• Ability to set performance goals, provide feedback, and delegate tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
