Substitute Teacher (On‑Call, License Fee Covered)

About the role

Carmen Schools of Science & Technology is seeking on‑call substitute teachers to lead classroom instruction across its campuses for the remainder of the school year. Candidates will receive training and reimbursement for the Wisconsin DPI license fee after six days of work.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, college‑ready lessons and incorporate technology into daily teaching.
• Maintain classroom management, ensure student safety, and uphold high academic, behavioral, and social standards.
• Communicate daily via email and phone, respond to feedback, and support the school’s mission and values.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree and eligibility for a Wisconsin DPI teaching license.
• Ability to advise small groups of students and function in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and adherence to school policies.

Required skills

• Effective classroom management techniques.
• Proficiency in integrating educational technology.

What we offer

• Full‑day rate of $200 and half‑day rate of $100, paid biweekly via direct deposit.
• Reimbursement of the DPI license fee after six days of work.
