About the role
The Extra Help Assistant/Forum Student Employee supports the University’s Forum publication by creating and editing content. This temporary, work‑study position is open to currently enrolled University of Arkansas at Little Rock students who can work up to 20 hours per week.
Key responsibilities
- Write original material for the Forum publication.
- Edit and proofread submitted articles to ensure clarity and adherence to style guidelines.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff on content planning.
- Perform other duties related to the Forum as assigned.
Required profile
- Currently enrolled as a degree‑seeking student at UA Little Rock.
- Legally authorized to work up to 20 hours per week in the United States.
- At least a high school diploma or equivalent.
Required skills
- Strong writing ability.
- Effective communication skills.
- Understanding of journalism ethics and best practices.
