Strategic Buyer – Direct Materials (North America)

About the role

The Strategic Buyer – Direct Materials (North America) will lead sourcing initiatives for Bosch Rexroth’s direct material commodities. Working closely with engineering, quality, logistics and operations, the buyer will optimise cost, quality and delivery while building a resilient supply base.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing projects, including supplier selection, RFQs, contract negotiation and cost‑reduction programmes.
• Develop and execute commodity strategies that align with business objectives and annual savings targets.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts and commercial terms with domestic and international suppliers.
• Assess supplier capabilities, performance and risks to ensure continuity and quality.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate supplier solutions into product development and production.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management and commercial negotiations.
• Ability to work with engineering, quality, logistics and operations teams across North America.
• Strong analytical mindset focused on cost, quality and delivery performance.
