Steward Supervisor

About the role

The Lead Steward reports to the Manager for Training & Food Safety and oversees all stewarding staff at AT&T Stadium. The role covers the cleaning and storage of wares, including all major culinary equipment, and the inspection of kitchens, workrooms and equipment for cleanliness and general order.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all stewarding staff and direct the efficient and effective cleaning of all areas, including walls and floors.
• Oversee the cleaning and storage of all wares at AT&T Stadium, including all major culinary equipment.
• Execute stewarding and dish duties.
• Inspect kitchens, workrooms and equipment for cleanliness and general order.
• Ensure the safety and security of employees and guests.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding food and beverage operations.
• Follow and encourage the team to follow all safety policies, complete company-wide and job-specific safety training, and report safety incidents in the company's risk management system on the same day.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years' experience in a high-volume kitchen area.
• Ability to work long, flexible hours, including late nights, weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to stand, sit, reach with hands and arms, and to lift or move up to 50 pounds; close and distance vision required.
• Willingness to work in a loud environment and handle high-pressure, interruptive situations.

Required skills

• Knowledge of chemical usage, operation of a dishwasher and proper use of a trash compactor.
• Excellent customer service, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to multi-task.
• Detail oriented, able to work independently and in a team.
