Concession Cashier

About the role

ASM Global is hiring a Concession Cashier who may work at a concession stand or a portable concession unit. The position requires flexibility in location, a welcoming and positive attitude, and the ability to serve customers with a friendly manner. It involves food preparation, setting up the location and area for operation, and keeping accurate records of transactions and inventory.

Key responsibilities

• Handle and count cash accurately during sales transactions, with or without a cash register.
• Prepare portable units or concession stands before guests arrive and keep them tidy and orderly.
• Maintain safe working conditions and a sanitary work area.
• Keep accurate inventory counts and ensure cash, food and beverage and inventory balance at the end of each shift.
• Ask for identification from guests purchasing alcohol.
• Work in a team, with a professional attitude toward customers and clients, and perform other duties assigned by the manager.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work at all ASM Global facilities in Andover and Wichita, including flexible hours such as nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must speak and understand English.
• Physical demands include stooping, lifting up to 30 lbs., and standing and walking for long periods.

Required skills

• Knows how to operate a cash register and count cash and handle credit transactions.
• Basic math ability and knowledge of food and beverage.
• Strong knowledge of sanitary practices, attention to detail and organized, clean appearance.
• Customer service attitude, ability to work independently with little supervision and to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
