Staff Technical Account Manager

About the role

As a Staff Technical Account Manager at CloudZero, you will combine deep data‑analysis expertise with a passion for empowering enterprise customers to control and optimize their AI and cloud spend. You will work directly with strategic accounts, guiding them through cost‑intelligence insights, tagging strategies, and ROI‑focused conversations across engineering, finance and executive teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead onboarding and implementation for strategic customers (>$300k ARR), handling ad‑hoc requests and driving adoption metrics.
• Mentor and coach fellow TAMs, creating repeatable playbooks and runbooks for common technical solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, conducting executive business reviews and communicating value.
• Introduce new CloudZero features, champion business outcomes, and collaborate with product, engineering and go‑to‑market teams.
• Analyze complex cost data, develop BI dashboards, and provide actionable recommendations on tagging, reservations and spend optimization.
• Support retention and expansion initiatives, solving complex vendor issues and preventing negative service trends.

Required profile

• 7+ years consulting on AWS, GCP and/or Azure within a B2B SaaS environment.
• Proven experience as a Technical Account Manager, DevOps or related role delivering strategic outcomes.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate large datasets into clear business insights.
• Positive, collaborative attitude with a passion for coaching and influencing senior leaders.

Required skills

• AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure.
• Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, INDEX‑MATCH, named ranges, pivot tables).
• SQL for data extraction and analysis.
• BI dashboard tools such as Quicksight, Looker, Domo or Tableau.
• Technical account management and DevOps best practices.
