Staff Quality Engineer

About the role

The Staff Quality Engineer will act as the senior technical quality expert for Saronic Technologies, driving a multi‑site Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) culture across engineering and manufacturing. Reporting to the Vice President of Quality, you will lead enterprise‑wide investigations, partner with cross‑functional teams, and improve product reliability and operational performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical investigations and RCCA processes for manufacturing defects, supplier escapes, customer returns, and field failures.
• Apply structured engineering methods such as Fault Tree Analysis, Fishbone, 5 Why, Statistical Analysis, Tolerance Stack Analysis, and FMEA to identify true root causes.
• Validate corrective actions through engineering data, experimentation, testing, and verification.
• Standardize RCCA methodologies across multiple manufacturing sites and coach site Quality Engineers.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Program Management, Product Management, and Mission Operations to drive reliability improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Significant experience in technical quality leadership, preferably in a multi‑site manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to lead complex engineering investigations and implement permanent corrective actions.
