About the role
The Staff Operational Excellence Engineer will lead the development and improvement of manufacturing and supply‑chain operations, translating plant strategy into measurable goals and driving world‑class performance.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze current conditions, develop strategic plans, and set short‑ and long‑term performance targets for manufacturing and supply‑chain processes.
- Lead improvement projects from strategy definition through implementation, using JJPS tools, Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies.
- Update performance measurement systems, train personnel, and communicate results to plant management.
- Coordinate with other project leaders across plants, ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards, and supervise engineering technicians.
Required profile
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Engineering (master’s preferred) with 4‑6 years of relevant experience in supervision, project direction, and process excellence.
- Experience in medical‑device manufacturing, supply‑chain, and change‑management environments.
- Ability to establish Six Sigma and Lean culture and to manage cross‑functional teams.
Required skills
- Six Sigma (Black Belt, candidate for Master Black Belt) and Lean Manufacturing expertise.
- Statistical Process Control (SPC) and DMAIC methodology.
- Proficiency with Excel, Access, PowerPoint, AutoCAD and similar software.
- Bilingual English‑Spanish communication skills.
