Staff Accountant or Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Staff Accountant or Senior Accountant to join Dana F. Cole & Company, LLP in Ogallala. This position is ideal for a CPA candidate who wants hands‑on experience in audit, tax, and consulting across nonprofit, governmental, and commercial clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with audits and prepare financial statements.
• Prepare individual and business tax returns.
• Maintain and grow client relationships.
• Contribute to various non‑attest engagements.
• Balance and prioritize multiple client projects.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (or final year of studies).
• On track to meet the 150‑hour requirement for the CPA exam (partial credits preferred).
• Desire to work in public accounting and develop both audit and tax skills.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines.
• Professionalism and strong client interaction skills.
