Staff Accountant

About the role

The Staff Accountant reports to the Controller and supports four separate entities with month‑end close, reconciliations, and reporting. The role works cross‑functionally across all departments to ensure accurate financial records and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage General Ledger entries, month‑end closing, and account reconciliations for multiple entities.
• Perform intercompany, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and accrued liabilities reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly P&L statements and other financial reports as assigned.
• Assist with audits of financial statements, sales & use tax, insurance, and other regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3‑5 years of accounting, finance, and payroll experience, preferably in construction or professional services.
• Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and strong analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Experience with Sage Intacct, Sage or similar accounting software.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
