Sr. Manager, Supplier Excellence

About the role

Rivian VW Technology Group is looking for a senior‑level Manager of Supplier Excellence to lead quality performance across its contract manufacturers. This hands‑on leader will bridge strategy and floor‑level execution, ensuring electronic modules transition smoothly from low‑rate initial production to high‑volume manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement best‑practice quality visions and procedures to improve operational performance at contract manufacturers.
• Identify, root‑cause, and track complex technical issues, working directly with internal teams and CMs to drive improvements during production and vehicle launch.
• Conduct and sustain VDA audits throughout the sourcing and program life‑cycle.
• Oversee completion of PPAP and Reifegrad Absicherung (RGA) maturity requirements from early development through start of production.
• Manage and report on KPIs to ensure project timing and quality standards are met.
• Proactively mitigate risks by identifying high‑risk areas in engineering design and physical production.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in product development or high‑rate volume manufacturing, especially PCBA production.
• Proven ability to lead lean engineering teams in fast‑growth or startup‑style environments.
• Hands‑on expertise in electrical, software, and mechanical issues within automotive low‑voltage electronics.
