Sr. Electronics Validation Lab Manager

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Lab Manager to run the ECU Validation Test Lab, where vehicle electronics are proven through thermal stress, vibration, humidity, and ingress testing. The role owns day‑to‑day lab operations, equipment maintenance, test scheduling, and material flow, and leads a team of technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Manage asset tracking and calibration in Jira, ensuring all chambers, shakers, and instruments are maintained, calibrated, and documented.
• Maintain equipment uptime by defining preventive‑maintenance tasks, diagnosing failures, coordinating service contracts, and driving downtime to documented closure.
• Lead and develop a team of lab technicians, set workmanship and safety standards, and provide shift coverage for long‑duration tests.
• Schedule chamber and shaker usage against program due dates, resolve contention, and communicate capacity constraints.
• Coordinate purchasing, inventory, and material flow through SAP, handling orders, invoices, returns, and inter‑site shipments.
• Ensure lab safety, hazard assessments, LOTO, PPE, ESD practices, and maintain traceability for audit compliance.

Required profile

• 5+ years in test‑lab operations, equipment maintenance, or reliability testing.
• 1+ years leading technicians or a small technical team.
• Hands‑on experience with thermal chambers, shock chambers, vibration systems, and humidity/ingress rigs.
• Working knowledge of calibration, metrology, and certificate management.
• Experience with Jira (or similar CMMS) workflow creation and SAP procurement processes.
