Sr. Manager, Manufacturing Finance

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Senior Manager to lead finance activities for its Manufacturing and Technical Operations site in Houston, Texas. The role supports the MTO Finance Director by overseeing financial performance, analysis, and reporting for the manufacturing site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close and ensure compliance with financial controls.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
• Coordinate the strategic plan, annual budget and monthly forecast processes.
• Develop and maintain product costing models and standards.
• Monitor key performance indicators, variances and provide insights to site leadership.
• Provide financial advice to operations teams on business decisions.
• Ensure adherence to GAAP, internal policies and audit requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects supporting strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with at least 7 years of finance/accounting experience.
• Minimum 5 years of demonstrated leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting and financial analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI and Analysis for Office.
• Working knowledge of SAP or a comparable ERP system.
