About the role
The Sr. HR Business Partner acts as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, translating business priorities and workforce needs into people strategies that drive performance, growth, and transformation. This role partners across Oceaneering’s global functions to advance workforce planning, organization effectiveness, talent strategy, leadership capability, and employee engagement.
Key responsibilities
- Lead strategic workforce and scenario planning, assessing current and future talent needs and developing talent plans aligned to business strategy.
- Partner with business leaders to design and implement organization effectiveness initiatives, including operating model changes, role clarity, decision rights, and team effectiveness.
- Drive change management for business and HR transformation, creating change strategies, stakeholder plans, communication approaches, and adoption metrics.
- Use workforce data, business insights, and talent analytics to identify trends, anticipate risks, influence decisions, and monitor people‑related outcomes.
- Advise leaders on talent strategy, succession planning, leadership development, performance management, engagement, retention, and talent movement.
- Coach and challenge leaders to build high‑performing, inclusive, accountable teams while strengthening manager capability.
- Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence and HR Operations to shape, prioritize, and execute enterprise HR programs.
- Provide consultative guidance on complex employee relations, performance, and organizational matters, balancing business objectives and compliance.
- Lead or support enterprise‑wide HR initiatives tied to transformation, process improvement, talent programs, culture, and change management.
Required profile
- 10+ years of experience in an HR Business Partner or strategic HR role, advising senior leaders and managing complex projects.
- 5+ years leading change management, transformation, organization effectiveness, or workforce planning initiatives.
- Proven ability to coach leaders through performance, organizational, and employee‑relations challenges.
- Strong credibility and influence across a complex, matrixed organization.
- Deep understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
- Experience in a global, matrixed organization is a plus.
