Sr. Executive & VIP Endpoint Support Specialist

About the role

The University of Miami Health System IT Department seeks a senior specialist to provide white‑glove, confidential technology support to senior university leaders and designated VIPs. This full‑time, onsite position ensures executive computing environments remain secure, reliable, and available, especially during high‑visibility events and travel.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver dedicated, high‑touch technical support to executives, serving as the primary escalation point for complex endpoint, mobile, and presentation issues.
• Maintain deep knowledge of executive technology preferences, proactively identifying risks and opportunities to enhance productivity.
• Support executive offices, residences, and approved off‑site locations, including advanced planning for travel‑related technology needs.
• Own and resolve high‑impact incidents affecting senior leadership, board activities, and institutional events.
• Lead cross‑functional escalations with infrastructure, security, applications, vendors, and leadership teams.
• Troubleshoot advanced hardware and software issues across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android platforms.
• Design, implement, and optimize executive endpoint environments for reliability, security, and scalability.
• Provide on‑site and remote support with extended availability, including after‑hours and critical event coverage.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering high‑level technical support to senior executives or VIPs.
• Strong autonomy and ability to act as the primary escalation point for complex issues.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with a focus on risk mitigation and rapid resolution.
• Willingness to provide after‑hours and on‑call support for critical events.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple IT and business stakeholders.
