Sr. DevOps Engineer

About the role

Santander is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead continuous improvement of its CI/CD pipelines. The role works across the IT enterprise to automate and re‑engineer application, database, and infrastructure processes, supporting developers and driving operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement enhancements for CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional IT teams to automate application, database, and infrastructure workflows.
• Support developer needs including code repositories, branching strategies, and build/release definitions.
• Re‑engineer processes for continuous improvement and efficiency.
• Communicate and coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 9+ years of experience with data‑center or cloud networking, shared storage, clustering, and failover concepts.
• Minimum 5 years of scripting experience (e.g., PowerShell).
• Minimum 5 years of programming experience.
• Minimum 5 years of database development experience.
• Basic knowledge of virtualization, cloud technologies, and networking.
• Strong collaborative skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
