About the role

Join Bosch's Logistics Packaging Design/Engineering team at the Charleston, SC production plant and apply your academic knowledge to real‑world manufacturing challenges. You will work on optimizing packaging processes, evaluating new materials, and supporting lean initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in troubleshooting packaging issues on the production line and support line trials for new materials or equipment.
• Evaluate new packaging materials and components for performance, cost and environmental impact.
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste, scrap and rework, and contribute to lean manufacturing projects.
• Document packaging specifications, test results and line trial data.
• Collaborate with operators, maintenance, quality, supply chain and R&D teams in daily production meetings.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Packaging Science, Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Strong enthusiasm for hands‑on work in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to observe, analyze and clearly communicate technical information.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with CAD software (a plus).
