Special Projects Liaison

About the role

Capital Area Michigan Works! is seeking a Special Projects Liaison to develop, launch, and manage grant‑funded initiatives that support workforce development across the region. The role involves proposal development, partnership coordination, outcome tracking, and supporting innovative projects aligned with CAMW!’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Lead grant writing, implementation, and reporting for special programs and proposals.
• Support RFP processes, identify sub‑recipients, and draft local policy plans and contracts.
• Coordinate with the Business Services Team to engage employer partners and training providers.
• Identify target populations, track performance metrics, and compile grant progress reports.
• Represent CAMW! at executive leadership meetings regarding special grant projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or 2‑4 years relevant experience in HR, business, education, psychology, or related social science.
• Experience with workforce development programs preferred; Business Solutions Professional (BSP) certification a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google applications; experience with Salesforce.com preferred.
