Soil Sort Team Lead (Distribution Lead)

About the role

NOVO Health Services, a provider of linen management solutions to the healthcare industry, is looking for a Soil Sort Team Lead (listed as Distribution Lead) for its Atlanta, GA facility. The role reports to the Team Leader and Plant Supervisor and involves supervising the soil sort department and supporting production management.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Production Manager and Plant Leadership in directing soil sort processes and employee activities according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Provide backup support in the soil sort department as needed.
• Know all soil sort operations, including SOPs and QA functions, and ensure staff adhere to established standards.
• Train new distribution employees and make recommendations on distribution methods or production standards.
• Help with employee hiring, evaluations, scheduling of testing and validation, and keep accurate records.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the department and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Ability to read and understand all Standard Operating Procedures.
• High school diploma; prior experience in a plant environment preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Able to lift 50 lbs or more and push or pull laundry carts weighing up to 600 lbs for the entire shift.
• Work environment: industrial laundry production area with large machinery, noise, odors, humidity, lint, dust and chemicals.
