Software Engineer

About the role

Tabs is building an AI‑native revenue platform that automates the contract‑to‑cash lifecycle for modern finance teams. As a Software Engineer you will join one of several engineering squads, report to an engineering manager or tech lead, and take ownership of features from design through production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core backend services and APIs that power billing, payments and revenue workflows.
• Build product surfaces used daily by finance teams, ensuring usability and reliability.
• Design data models and pipelines that scale with high transaction volumes.
• Implement integrations with external systems such as ERPs and CRMs to keep customer data in sync.
• Create internal tools and interfaces that simplify complex accounting concepts for users.
• Improve system reliability, observability and performance through internal infrastructure work.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Design through whiteboard sessions and rapid feedback cycles.

Required profile

• Enjoy owning a feature end‑to‑end, from initial design to post‑release bug fixes.
• Value code correctness and write maintainable software.
• Curious about finance and AI domains and willing to learn new concepts.
• Can discuss disagreements respectfully and adapt decisions based on data.
• Generalist mindset comfortable moving across the stack.
