Software Engineer III – Operations Engineering

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Operations Engineering team at LexisNexis Risk Solutions. You will support internal systems that keep our enterprise insurance platform reliable and performant, handling production incidents and building tools that empower operations at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Triage and debug customer‑impacting production incidents, identify root causes and drive fixes through resolution.
• Lead or participate in RCAs and post‑incident reviews, documenting timelines and implementing preventive actions.
• Participate in on‑call rotations to improve system reliability and operational response.
• Collaborate with Support, Product and Engineering teams to address business pain points and enhance workflows.
• Develop and maintain backend tools for issue triage, order/policy remediation, and reduction of MTTD/MTTR.
• Build internal dashboards, monitoring frameworks and alerting systems to provide visibility into operational health and KPIs.

Required profile

• Proven experience debugging production systems using logs, metrics and traces.
• Experience in on‑call rotations and incident triage with clear communication.
• 3+ years of backend development using Node.js.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, S3 and CloudWatch.
• Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with microservices, APIs and modern backend architecture.
• Understanding of software development best practices including testing, version control and CI/CD.
