Software Engineer III - Java Fullstack / AWS

About the role

JPMorgan Chase is seeking an experienced Software Engineer III to join its Commercial & Investment Banking technology team. In this role you will design, develop, and maintain secure, high‑performance Java‑based full‑stack applications that support critical business functions across the firm.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver scalable Java services, RESTful APIs, and micro‑service architectures.
• Write clean, secure production code and ensure it integrates smoothly with existing systems.
• Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while adhering to design constraints.
• Analyze large data sets to produce visualizations and reporting that drive continuous improvement.
• Identify hidden issues in code and data, applying insights to enhance coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Participate in engineering communities, share knowledge of emerging technologies, and foster an inclusive team culture.
• Leverage enterprise‑approved AI coding assistants for code generation, refactoring, unit testing, and documentation, validating outputs through peer review and automated testing.

Required profile

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with at least 3 years of applied experience.
• Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, algorithms, and data structures.
• Experience working in agile teams delivering production‑grade software.
