Software Engineer, Generalist

About the role

Saronic Technologies is seeking a versatile Software Engineer to design, develop, and integrate software for autonomous surface vessels (ASVs). You will collaborate with hardware, robotics, and software teams to deliver robust maritime autonomy solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Work with cross‑functional teams to design, develop, and deploy software for ASVs.
• Participate in all software development lifecycle phases, from requirements to maintenance.
• Build scalable, maintainable systems that meet DoD and operational standards.
• Implement perception, navigation, path‑planning, and control algorithms.
• Optimize performance and reliability of autonomous software components.
• Conduct thorough testing, validation, and safety verification.
• Stay updated on emerging autonomous, robotics, and maritime technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Proven software development experience in autonomous systems or robotics.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and effective communication skills.
