Software Engineer (Fullstack and Backend Roles)

About the role

Clear is building the secure identity company of the future and is looking for Software Engineers to help build the next generation of its identity platform. You will own complex technical problems from design through deployment, collaborating with Product, Design, Security, and Operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy scalable applications that power Clear's identity platform.
• Own projects end‑to‑end, from technical discovery and architecture through implementation, rollout, and operational support.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to translate business problems into simple, scalable technical solutions.
• Improve system reliability, performance, testing, observability, and developer experience.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and continuously enhance scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Participate in thoughtful code reviews and share engineering best practices.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience building production applications.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and modern software architecture.
• Proven ability to own complex, cross‑functional projects and drive them from idea to production.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort operating in ambiguous environments.
• Collaborative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
