Software Engineer, Applied ML (Discovery, Recommendation & Search)

About the role

As a Software / ML Engineer you will work cross‑functionally with product, data science and data platform teams to design, build and operate applied ML models and infrastructure. You will develop the backend systems that power discovery surfaces such as recommendation, ranking and search, while supporting new AI‑generated content formats and optimizing existing pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, design and implement ML models, data pipelines, training and serving infrastructure for fast‑growing AI consumer applications.
• Build and maintain ML backend services that enable recommendation, ranking and search functionalities.
• Collaborate with product and data teams to integrate new AI content formats and improve system performance.

Required profile

• B.A.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of industry experience developing large‑scale software systems.

Required skills

• Building and consuming RESTful and gRPC web services.
• Cloud infrastructure experience (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Proficiency with popular ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Writing high‑performance services in a modern typed language.
• Configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Experience with GPU/TPU deployments and production AI/ML systems.
• Working with vector databases or other feature storage solutions.
