Software Development Engineer (SDE II) – EC2 Core / Outposts Console

About the role

Join the EC2 Core / Outposts Console team as a Software Development Engineer (SDE II) and help AWS customers manage their compute and network resources at scale. You will design and build modern, responsive front‑end experiences that enable millions of users to interact with their cloud infrastructure efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement intuitive, accessible, and high‑performance user interfaces for AWS Console using React, TypeScript and related web frameworks.
• Collaborate with UX designers, product managers and service teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Own features end‑to‑end, from scoping and design through implementation, testing, deployment and operational support.
• Monitor console performance, analyze metrics, identify bottlenecks and apply optimizations to ensure predictable behavior across regions.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, respond to tickets, maintain runbooks and build automation to reduce operational toil.
• Mentor peers through code reviews, pair programming and knowledge‑sharing sessions.
