Social Video Producer

About the role

Northeastern University seeks an experienced Social Video Producer to create daily, social‑first storytelling content for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts. The role involves conceptualizing, shooting, and editing fast‑turnaround videos that capture university life, trends, and news.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualize, shoot, and edit daily social‑first news and storytelling content, primarily for TikTok and Instagram.
• Appear on camera regularly as part of a rotating team presence.
• Stay ahead of platform trends and news cycles to identify timely content opportunities.
• Produce both short and longer‑form video, including podcast‑style interviews and executive‑level projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2‑4 years of professional shooting and editing experience with a strong portfolio of vertical, social‑first video.
• Solid news judgement and strong on‑camera presence.
• Ability to work with minimal direction and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve.
