Social Media Manager and Executive Assistant

About the role

Definition Church is seeking a dynamic professional to support the Executive Pastor of Worship and Creative. The position splits evenly between managing the church’s social media presence and providing administrative and strategic assistance to the Executive Pastor and department. The role aims to accelerate the church’s mission and expand its relational reach.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an Instagram and Facebook content calendar aligned with sermon series, events, and the church calendar.
• Create, schedule, and publish posts, Stories, Reels, graphics, and short‑form video edits using Adobe Creative Cloud tools.
• Monitor and respond to comments and direct messages in a timely, on‑brand voice, and report engagement trends monthly.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the Executive Pastor, manage the pastor’s calendar, arrange travel, and take meeting minutes.
• Coordinate with the Creative Team to source assets, assist with vendor relations, and support event planning for the worship and creative departments.

Required profile

• At least one year of leadership experience serving on a church team.
• Willingness to complete a Freedom group or have already done so.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, with additional ministry or seminary training a plus.
• Experience managing social media for a brand, ministry, or organization.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Meta Business Suite for performance tracking.
• Hands‑on experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere) or Canva for graphic and video creation.
