About the role

We are seeking a Skilled Tradesman to join the Law School Maintenance team at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. The role involves performing construction, installation, and repair tasks across campus facilities, ensuring a safe and functional environment for students and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Construct, install, and repair doors, stairs, roofs, partitions, walls, hardware, and fixtures.
• Perform general carpentry using hand and power tools, including wood, sheetrock, roofing, painting, and glass installation.
• Repair office furniture, cabinets, and other campus furnishings.
• Operate power hand tools and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
• Maintain compliance with state, federal, and institutional policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least five years of verifiable experience in skilled trades such as carpentry or maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle.

Required skills

• Proficiency with power hand tools.
• Experience operating woodworking machinery.
• Carpentry and general construction skills.
