About the role
We are seeking a Skilled Tradesman to join the Law School Maintenance team at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. The role involves performing construction, installation, and repair tasks across campus facilities, ensuring a safe and functional environment for students and staff.
Key responsibilities
- Construct, install, and repair doors, stairs, roofs, partitions, walls, hardware, and fixtures.
- Perform general carpentry using hand and power tools, including wood, sheetrock, roofing, painting, and glass installation.
- Repair office furniture, cabinets, and other campus furnishings.
- Operate power hand tools and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, and institutional policies.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least five years of verifiable experience in skilled trades such as carpentry or maintenance.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle.
Required skills
- Proficiency with power hand tools.
- Experience operating woodworking machinery.
- Carpentry and general construction skills.
