Site Reliability Engineering Manager

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on manager to lead our US‑based Site Reliability Engineering team, drive operational excellence, and mentor engineers in a fast‑growing healthcare fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a US SRE team, handling hiring, onboarding and performance management.
• Own day‑to‑day production operations, incident triage, escalation, and act as incident commander for major events.
• Drive reliability improvements using Datadog, automation, self‑healing, and runbook maturity.
• Collaborate with SRE leadership in India to ensure seamless follow‑the‑sun coverage.
• Maintain documentation, post‑mortems and ensure compliance with HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001 and HITRUST.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of SRE, DevOps or platform engineering experience.
• 1–2+ years of people‑management or player‑coach leadership experience.
• Strong incident management skills and willingness to be on‑call via PagerDuty.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Required skills

• Datadog or similar observability platform.
• Kubernetes and Docker in production.
• Scripting/programming: PowerShell, Bash, Python, Java or C#.
• Helm, CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• SQL, MySQL or NoSQL databases.
