About the role
The Site Clerk provides essential administrative support on a construction site, ensuring smooth daily operations and accurate documentation. Reporting directly to the Superintendent, the role combines front‑desk duties with office management and record‑keeping.
Key responsibilities
- Greet visitors, manage sign‑in logs, answer phones and direct calls.
- Handle delivery tickets, determine purchase order type, and forward documents to the Project Manager or Accounts Payable.
- Maintain timesheets, weekly hours and per‑diem records for field employees and email them to payroll.
- Order office supplies, material and rental equipment as directed.
- Take and distribute meeting minutes, make copies, and keep office files and logs up to date.
- Log daily subcontractor activities, weather, deliveries and meetings on the Superintendent’s Daily Report.
- Coordinate vendor quotes, set up vendor accounts, and perform occasional travel.
Required profile
- High school diploma preferred.
- Ability to follow specific directions and perform repetitive tasks accurately.
- Professional and courteous interaction with employees, clients, subcontractors and the public.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
- Experience operating office equipment such as copiers, printers, scanners and label machines.
