SIPA Superintendent – St. Gabriel, LA

About the role

Turner Industries is seeking a SIPA Superintendent to lead maintenance and construction activities at its St. Gabriel, LA site. This non‑exempt position reports to the Site or Project Manager and provides on‑site administrative and technical oversight during regular operations and a scheduled shutdown window (July 20 – August 13).

Key responsibilities

• Schedule, coordinate, and supervise maintenance and construction crews to meet design, budget, and timeline requirements.
• Manage on‑site functions such as engineering support, material control, and daily scheduling.
• Interpret construction drawings and provide technical assistance to field personnel.
• Develop, update, and enforce project procedures, safety programs, and company standards.
• Document violations, recommend corrective actions, and ensure compliance with client and regulatory safety requirements.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 8–10 years of technical training and/or related experience in construction or industrial maintenance.
• Thorough knowledge of construction processes and basic understanding of all trades.
• Advanced knowledge of key on‑site crafts, especially mechanical systems.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities; preferred Turner Leadership Training.
