Simulation Operations Specialist

About the role

The Simulation Operations Specialist provides advanced operational and technical support for simulation‑based education at Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus. Working days from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, you will ensure safe, reliable, high‑quality learner‑centered simulation experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex, interprofessional simulation course operations and coordinate technology, environments, and resources.
• Configure, operate, and maintain simulation, audiovisual, and IT systems to guarantee reproducible delivery.
• Design realistic scenario setups using physiology, clinical procedures, moulage, and environmental stimuli.
• Perform routine testing, preventive maintenance, and vendor‑supported repairs of simulation equipment.
• Monitor inventory, order supplies, and rotate stock for the simulation center labs.
• Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and train new simulation staff.
• Collaborate with educators on design, delivery, and evaluation of simulation environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Two years of experience in healthcare simulation or related audiovisual/IT discipline.
• Certification as a Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS) within three years of hire (or waiver for surgical simulation lab experience).
• Ability to work in stationary positions, lift up to 85 lb with assistance, and operate in confined, darkened areas.
