About the role

This PRN position supports the Short Stay Cardiac Unit on Jefferson Highway, delivering high‑quality patient care within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards. The role emphasizes cultural sensitivity, teamwork, and alignment with the unit’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members based on diverse learning needs.
• Apply data‑driven decision‑making to promote change and improve patient outcomes.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to lift 10‑20 lb regularly and handle occasional heavier loads.
