Shop Service Technician (AMS)

About the role

The Shop Service Technician (AMS) works under general supervision in Enerflex's shop location, performing maintenance, repair, and overhaul of gas compression equipment and related instruments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform work on gas compression equipment components and instruments such as pumps, controllers and valves.
• Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble compressors, including bearing and crankshaft checks.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and replace or overhaul compressors as needed.
• Follow standard operating procedures and safety regulations while working in the shop.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3‑5 years experience with engine, compressor mechanics, production equipment and gas compression.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lb, kneel, bend and work in various climates.
• Team player able to develop work processes under pressure.

Required skills

• Knowledge of pumps, controllers, valves and compressor systems.
• Ability to perform mechanical diagnostics and engine repair.
