Shift Manager – Fast‑Casual Restaurant

About the role

The Shift Manager supports the General Manager and Assistant General Manager in running a Five Guys restaurant in New York. You will ensure guest satisfaction, profit maximisation and a high‑performing team while handling all station duties.

Key responsibilities

• Assist GM/AGM with daily operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Provide hands‑on support to staff across cashier, lobby, prep, grill, fries and other stations.
• Maintain service standards, manage cash registers and handle cash flow.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of fast‑casual restaurant management experience.
• NYC Food Protection Certificate (food handler’s permit) and 18 + years of age.
• Ability to lift 50 lb, stand, walk and work in a noisy, temperature‑varying kitchen for up to 10 hours.

Required skills

• Basic computer system operation (e.g., cash register).
• Clear English communication and team‑leadership abilities.
