About the role
The Shift Manager supports the General Manager and Assistant General Manager in running a Five Guys restaurant, ensuring guest satisfaction, profit maximization, and high‑performing teams.
Required profile
- 1+ year fast‑casual restaurant management experience
- NYC Food Protection Certificate (food handler’s certificate)
- 18+ years of age
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel, reach, and lift 50+ pounds for up to 10‑hour shifts
- Function in a fast‑paced, noisy kitchen environment and tolerate temperature fluctuations
- Work with hazardous substances such as hot oil
- Read, write, speak, and understand basic English and communicate clearly
- Lead a team effectively and use a basic computer system (e.g., cash register)
