Shake/Pulse Flush Operator – 3rd Shift

About the role

Moog is seeking a Shake/Pulse Flush Operator for the 3rd shift at its Buffalo, NY facility. The role involves cleaning, demagnetizing, pressure checking, and flow testing of aircraft parts to ensure compliance with strict FAA regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pressure checking by assembling parts on an oil pressure stand and detecting leaks with a spray solution.
• Operate shake‑flush machines that vibrate assemblies while directing solvent flow.
• Conduct pulse‑flush cycles using high‑pressure solvent pulses to clean internal passages.
• Clean parts using ultrasonic degreasers, Magnus washers, specialized solvents, and demagnetizing equipment; oil parts to prevent rust and package for stock.
• Execute flow testing by running oil through plug‑in bodies to remove lapping compound.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED preferred; ability to follow verbal, written, and computer instructions in English.
• At least three months of related experience with measuring instruments and cleaning processes.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and interpret operation sheets, sketches, and verbal directions.
• Enrollment in Moog’s FAA Drug & Alcohol Program as required by FAA safety‑sensitive work regulations.

Required skills

• Use of adjustable measuring instruments.
• Operation of ultrasonic degreasers and Magnus washers.
• Handling of specialized cleaning solvents and demagnetizing equipment.
• Basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
