Service Technician – Madison at Melrose

About the role

We are looking for a Service Technician to maintain the physical condition of our residential property in Richardson. The role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and completing repairs in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage and communicate re‑order needs to the maintenance supervisor.
• Complete all required documentation and paperwork promptly to ensure accurate service tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.
• Adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, participating in routine safety meetings.

Required profile

• Ability to perform a wide range of mechanical and technical tasks in a residential setting.
• Experience handling work orders, inspections and coordinating with vendors.
• Strong attention to detail for documentation and inventory management.
• Commitment to safety procedures and regulatory compliance.
