Service Technician – Firestone Junction

About the role

The Service Technician ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas at the Firestone Junction property meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. The role involves responding to resident service requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspections.
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly for tracking purposes.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning and painting as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders and work in all weather conditions.
• Physical capacity to lift up to 25 lb independently and 50 lb with assistance.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends and holidays, and to take on‑call duties.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart on the property, if required.

Required skills

• EPA Type I, Type II or Universal certification for refrigerant recycling.
• All state and local certifications required for service technicians.
