Service Supervisor – Student Living

About the role

The Service Supervisor for the Boise State student living community ensures that all building interiors, exteriors, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. Reporting to the Community Manager, the role combines hands‑on maintenance work with oversight of vendors and service teams.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests, diagnose issues and perform repairs in line with company policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Manage the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling contractors, procuring supplies and inspecting completed work.
• Develop and enforce standards for the appearance and cleanliness of grounds, building exteriors, breezeways, signage, parking areas and other common spaces.
• Conduct periodic inspections of work performed by service team members and external contractors to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance materials, coordinating orders with the Community Manager while adhering to budget guidelines.
• Execute monthly preventative maintenance tasks as outlined in Greystar’s policy and procedure manual.

Required profile

• Experience in property or facilities maintenance, preferably in multi‑unit residential settings.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, perform diagnostic assessments and complete repairs safely.
• Strong organizational skills for scheduling vendors, managing inventories and overseeing make‑ready activities.
• Attention to detail when inspecting work quality and community appearance.
• Capability to work collaboratively with a Community Manager and service team.
