Service Manager - Security Operations

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a Service Manager in Mobile, Alabama. The manager leads daily security operations, guiding, developing and motivating security officers and supervisors to deliver high-quality service and keep the people and places they protect safe.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure security protocols and standards are consistently upheld, managing frontline supervisors and officers independently while minimizing unbilled overtime
• Recruit, train, schedule and manage supervisors and officers, handling payroll, performance evaluations and employee relations
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients and ensure high-quality service
• Use Allied Universal's AI technology and business intelligence platforms to track metrics, optimize schedules and reduce non-billed overtime
• Respond to escalated issues professionally and coordinate with clients and internal teams
• Maintain training, safety and operational standards, including uniforms, equipment and supplies

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, business or a related field with at least 2 years of experience managing hourly employees, or an associate's degree with 3 years, or a high school diploma with 5 years
• At least 2 years of experience in business operations, security management or team supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Experience leading and retaining a diverse team and building positive client relationships
• Knowledge of emergency preparedness, physical security protocols, risk assessments and law enforcement coordination
• Valid driver's license if driving a company or personal vehicle while on business
• Licensing may be required depending on state and local laws

Required skills

• Business intelligence tools for metrics analysis, reporting, automation and presentations
• Microsoft Office and web-based applications
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Preferred: experience with a dispersed workforce, security systems (CCTV, access control, badge administration), payroll, billing and scheduling, and ASIS CPP certification
