Operations Manager - Security Services

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring an Operations Manager in Mobile, Alabama. The manager is a central leader in delivering security services across client sites, overseeing frontline hiring, staffing, scheduling, training and operational compliance, and acting as a key support and escalation point for employees and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Select and place new security professionals, including first-line supervisors, and design career development and performance improvement plans
• Make initial job offers and job transfers, and maintain the weekly open post list and job openings
• Create and manage post schedules in WinTeam, keep positions staffed to contract requirements and manage overtime
• Maintain a pool of flex personnel for backfill and review the weekly No Hours report with HR
• Run weekly payroll, audit timekeeping records and handle final paychecks, bonuses and related disputes
• Handle disciplinary, counseling and termination procedures, and enforce post policies and training

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current driver's license if driving a company or personal vehicle for business
• At least three years of leadership experience in a high-volume workforce, preferably in the protective service industry
• Experience building and developing teams
• Licensing may be required depending on state and local laws

Required skills

• Microsoft Office and BI Business Intelligence tools for reporting and metrics
• Basic understanding of budgeting and financial reporting
• Preferred: payroll, billing and scheduling experience, and knowledge of CCTV, access control and badge administration
