Service Manager for Unaccompanied Minor Protection

About the role

We are looking for a Service Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for the emergency reception, protection and accommodation of unaccompanied minor refugees in the Mâcon area. The role involves direct supervision of 40 minors and ensuring high‑quality support in line with child‑protection legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day management of a team delivering emergency shelter and care for unaccompanied minors.
• Oversee the intake, assessment and placement processes for 40 minors under the child‑protection framework.
• Coordinate with local authorities, social services and partner organisations to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Monitor compliance with legal standards, quality standards and collective‑agreement provisions.
• Report to the Pole Director on complex situations and service performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in team management and supervision of educational or social projects.
• Strong knowledge of child‑protection policies, foreigner law and social welfare regulations.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment and to propose improvements autonomously.
• Organised, rigorous and capable of handling complex cases while maintaining service quality.
• Valid driver’s licence and proficiency in French.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency.
